Happy half birthday Lily and Alfie!

Lily and Alfie turned 6 months old this month, on the 5th, I've been meaning to post about it since but despite taking pictures specifically for a post, I kept completely forgetting/being too busy, so time to make up for it!

I haven't got any new pics of Alfie, I'll have to get my dad to take some, but here's some 6 month birthday pictures of Lily, hope you enjoy! :)

We've don't really have anything to update, so we'll go away, do something blog worthy and return in a day or 2 with tales to delight! (And hopefully some pictures of Alfie!) :)

Doggy deliveries...

It's been about 2 weeks since our last post, so we thought it was high time to share some pictures and what not :)

Not much has really been going on, although by the name of the post you may have guessed we ordered some more things... ;)

We just ordered a few bits and bobs over the weekend, a giant (51cm tall) giraffe that squeaks and rattles, another tub of Coachies (as we were running low), some dried duck fillet pieces, some dried liver pieces, a slipper toy, a fleece tug rope, a twisty nylon chew toy, several Nylabones and Marrowbones in various flavours, (bacon, jerky and chicken I think) and our pièce de résistance, a huge batch of dried beef knuckles!

As hilarious as it seems to some people, that my 'wimpy handbag dogs' might be able to tackle these huge cuts of bone, they absolutely adore them and we'd recommend them to any dog owner, whether your pooch is big or small! ^^

Deliveries aside, we've been sifting through some junk on the pc and found some old pictures and videos* of Buffy and a few of Rafferty too.
We'll sort through them and we'll do a past times type post sometime this week, along with updates as the rest of our things arrive :)

General Update.

It's been a while since we posted, so time for a quick update!

Not too much has happened, Lily and Alfie have both started losing their teeth, we think Lily's pretty much done losing hers now.

Buffy, Rafferty and Monroe are all doing well and trundling along, being spoilt as ever.
I had to order them some more food the other day, so naturally the got another toy, just a little vanilla flavoured rubber ball that you can stuff with kibble/paste etc.
I shall have to try and get a picture of it :)

Lily might be getting a change of (middle) name, from 'Armani' to 'Laurent*'... as we may need to use Armani elsewhere...which leads us to the biggest news we have, we may be adding to the Hilton clan once again, although we're sticking to the Hilton chihuahua format for sure!

We'll know more by the weekend (maybe a lot more ;D) so we'll post Saturday/Sunday ^^

*Rafferty's middle name is 'Yves' as in, Yves St Laurent, so we thought 'Laurent' would be cute :) Thoughts on this? Hmm.

Hilton Spa Day :)

It''s been another busy week, feels like most of it was devoted to grooming (read as; pampering) the girls though...

They were all bathed and brushed, had their coat conditioner on, had their eyes cleaned, nails cut, feet/pads/ears/etc trimmed and teeth cleaned! Phew!

They're looking all the more lovely for it too :)

After brushing them (with the furminator, their normal brush is for detangling really) we took this picture;

It constantly surprises me how much comes off them when they're shedding!
(Keep in mind they're brushed weekly with the furminator)

It was a week yesterday since Lily's second jab, so she can officially be walked now! About time too, it's taken forever to get it all sorted >.<
We'll take her for a stroll later and try and get some nice pictures of her first walkies :) 
If we manage it then we'll post them later/tomorrow ^^

That's all the 'news' we have really, so seeing as it feels like it's been ages since we posted a nice picture of Rafferty, we'll do so and leave you with that!

News, updates and pictures of Alfie too!

How rude Rafferty! 

 Just kidding, she was asking for a lick of some nummy food no doubt! ;D

We've been neglecting our posting a little the past few days, had some things on with Lily finally getting her 2nd jab, Rafferty getting her booster shot, sorting for Monroe and Lily to get micro chipped in a week or 2 plus seeing people and all the usual!

The rainbow rubber ring finally came! Aaaand none of them like it -.-

Not even Buffy... Typical we know. 

They're all in love with Mr. Octopus, the headless kong zebra, and their various rope tug toys right now, but we'll see in a few weeks when we're planning to order some more things!

Also, there's been talk of another addition after it didn't work out with Rae, this time we will be sticking by our breed, our girls just don't handle bigger pups! 

It's a shame, but they have to come first and we love our 4 Hilton chi's :)

We'll do a blog post once we know more, all we can really say is we are looking at one but she's only about 10 days old now, so our details are limited, one thing we can say is she'll be Monroe and Lily's half sister (Sugar is their daddy)... 

But we'll post more about her as time goes by!

We snatched a few pics of Alfie as promised, he (and ofc Lily) are coming up 5 months old now! 

We can hardly believe how time has flown...

Incredible how much he's changed, we still think he's a cutie, although we might be a little bit biased ;)

After all the playing in the snow, today sure feels christmas-y and we can't wait for the big day to come more than ever now!

This year is Monroe and Lily's first christmas, so it's even more special :)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snowww! ♥

It's been snowing for the past 5 or so days now (yay!) but this morning the snow has reached (by English standards) epic proportions! It's around a foot deep in some places!
Sooo, we thought we'd warm up your day with a few winter-y pics :)

Alas we are being savaged! The puppies have their first little tooth each (with more to follow very soon it seems) and man are they sharp!
We're all beaten and bruised from puppy abuse, the even big girls are feeling the harsh merciless nibbles :(

At the risk of 'over sharing', Alfie has started getting, well, a little frisky o.o
He's kind of humping things bless him, which whilst normal is also rather bizarre!
Seems he'll take after his daddy with his lothario ways, so we've currently nicknamed him 'Splenda' (their dad is called Sugar).

We're well overdue a picture post, as we've still got to do their 4 week one and they turn 5 weeks tomorrow haha (it's technically Saturday as I post this!)...
Sooo, we'll do the 4 week post tomorrow, plus a wordy post and their 5 week post will be done on time Sunday evening :)

We're past the halfway mark now to Alfies departure, all being well he'll leave us to go live with my dad and step mum at 8 weeks old and we have to admit, we'll miss the spunky little bugger!
No doubt he'll be a regular visiter though, seeing as he'll only be in the next village haha xD

In other news it seems Alfie is a smoothcoat and Lily is a long/midlength, it'll take some time before we know exactly how long she'll be, although her fur seems very thick, so maybe longer than her mummy!

Well thanks to a random spell of insomnia, it's now rather late! (Or early).
So it's off to bed for all the Hiltons, furry and otherwise :)

P.s For anyone wondering, the puppies are doing really well weaning and are eating meat now, as well as egg, rusks, rice and cereal, plus drinks of milk, water and Raffertys milk :)
Also, their 5 week 'birthday' brings another dose of wormer! Booooo!

Okay, so that sucked, but the moral of the story, er rhyme, is that the pups had their nails cut today ^^ they were so good! :)

Just a quick BB blog post to say...

That we're all doing well :)

Lily and Alfie had their 3 week 'birthday' on Sunday, they've started on 'proper' food of mushed up rusks :)
So far they're doing well, getting stuck in, literally! Messy tykes ^^

They (along with mummy Rafferty) went to see the vet Monday and all got a clean bill of health :)
The vet actually commented on how well the puppies were doing, so proud grins all round xD

We've also cracked open the Sherleys worming syrup for the puppies and have given the big girls their dose of Panacur, so we're sorted on the worming front for 2 weeks now at any rate :)

That's all our news for now really, we've been taking tons of pictures, which we'll post on the 1st, as soon as the internet is running again!

Updates, reviews, news and opinions? (Christmas Competition!)

We'll start with the updates shall we? :)

So all the girls (and Alfie) are doing well, Lily's eyes are fully open today, whilst poor Alfie only has one open! He looks like he's winking and we keep calling him a pirate xD We'll post pictures of them tomorrow when we have decent light to work with, but we dare say his second eye will be open by then :(

Other than that, (edging towards reviews now) we had a lot of packages come today from hyperdrug and bonniedog :)
From hyperdrug we had 2 boring items, some Royal Canin puppy milk and Sherleys puppy wormer, but we also had a fleecey Kong "Snugga Wubba", a Kong toy that I've now forgotten the name of >.<, a Kong puppy teething bone and a Jolly Teaser Ball, plus some Coachies puppy training treats xD
From bonniedogs we had an EzyDog harness and lead in chocolate  brown (for Monroe). 
All in all very pleased, the Kong Snugga Wubba went down a storm, as did the Coachies and the EzyDog harness and lead are proving a sound investment :) (We're ordering one for the rest of the girls too, but decided to order only one to begin with to try the size out on them all :) Sadly even the smallest size, adjusted as much as possible is still too big for teeny tiny Rafferty, so we'll have it altered once we receive it!)

Now the news and opinions part of this post are kinda rolled into one!
We here at "AHWTH" have been thinking about running a "Christmas Competition" and want to hear your opinions! We'll pop a poll below this, along with some idea of the kind of prizes and rules we'd have for the competition, as well as any restrictions or special requests :) Feel free to vote or email me with suggestions!

So there we have it :) They're growing nicely and starting to look more like chihuahuas, rather than mini moles xD

I think we're all really excited and looking forwards to their eyes opening and them starting to toddle round, which hopefully shouldn't be too long now at all :)

We don't really have any news right now, but will be sure to blog after their vet check (which should be Tuesday).
