Lola's been here with us now for nearly 2 months and she's growing up fast! She doesn't seem much bigger to us but when we look back at pictures it's clear how much she's grown. The biggest change in her lately though is her coat! Every puppy we've had has gone through this, the 'donkey stripe' stage as we call it.

It's where she's starting to lose her puppy coat and her longer, slightly coarser adult fur is coming in. Dogs can lose their full coat several times before their 'adult' length/colour is definite, but this shed is by far the most dramatic and noticeable. For whatever reason it always seems to come in first in a long stripe right down their backs... hence we nicknamed it the 'donkey stripe'!
We're far from being saddened by her growing up, we're super excited :D We can't wait to see how she's going to turn out, fingers crossed she should have a lovely long coat when she's older... She's getting 'gangly' at the minute, she's becoming an awkward teenager :) She's still a fair bit smaller than we expected though!
